I have a external hard drive that my Macbook isn't recognising. It used to detect it but no longer does. Both the hard drive and the Mac are only a few months old.
***I do not want to loose any of the files on the hard drive.
Notes:
- Finder preferences > General: already have external disks selected.
- Finder preferences > Sidebar: already have external disks selected.
- Sometimes it appears in disk utilities but mount isn't an option and first aid doesn't fix anything.
- When connected the external hard drive's light flashes blue for 5mins, then goes to a solid blue and stops flashing, then 5mins later there is no light at all.
