The purpose of our app is to easily connect our clients with their personal trainers in our gym.
To accomplish this, we need 2 separate apps: one for use by our gym trainers (staff) and another for client use.
The backend for the first phase of the client app has already been implemented as well as its API to connect it with the app. Basically, for this first phase of the client app, the backend and API included: user login, signup, add and update profile, and add and update stats. It has been implemented using PHP on Yii2 framework.
Now, with this new job, we basically need to expand the backend and its API to support the new features.
The new features on the client side mainly involves the following: user can now be an FS verified member, user can now receive notifications, user can now have an appointed trainer, user can now schedule and manage appointments with this trainer.
For our trainers app, we need to start off its backend from scratch, basically db plus API, which involves mainly the following features: login, signup, trainer notifications, trainer can be appointed clients, trainer can add stats to his clients, trainer can have and manage appointments with his clients.
Different types of notifications can trigger (on tap by user) different kinds of actions on the client and trainer apps.

A detailed document explaining in details every business requirements of the apps flow and interactions will be provided before the final hiring process.
The next job will include push notifications integration using One Signal API. So if you have experience integrating their API, it's a bonus.
Also, in case you wonder, implementing an admin panel will be needed for the next job, but not on this one yet.
The ideal freelancer should:
- be experienced implementing a RESTful API using PHP on Yii2 framework
- be experienced with 3rd party API integration
- applicants must read, write and speak English fluently.
