Hi! I'm a romance author (paranormal & contemporary) from Austria. German is my mother tongue, but I write my books in English. I'm looking for a Virtual Assistant who likes romance books, wants to work with me on growing my business and knows a thing or two about marketing and how to interact with readers online. Workload about 5-10 hours per month (depending on how long it takes to fulfill the tasks and the agreed price)
REQUIREMENTS:
- English language skills: native or at least fluent
- You are an avid romance reader
- You are not new to online marketing
- You are communicative
- You have a knack for writing creative content
- You know a thing or two about creating graphics: Graphic Design is not mandatory as I'm pretty good with Photoshop, but graphics are needed for social media posts, so if there are more graphics needed than the ones I already have, I would need you to provide them (Canva is a nice tool here). Thus, you should have an eye for what looks good and fits the genre and my branding
- You are organized and update me on a regular basis
- You have hands-on mentality: I don't have to remind you about what to do. You know your tasks. - You suggest new ideas and are on the lookout for fresh content and things that have a value for my readers
- You love social media and post/blog on a regular basis
- You know the world of book bloggers and already have some sort of a network
- Software skills: Microsoft Office & Excel, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
TASKS:
Newsletter:
- 2 Newsletter about every month (1 for each segment: Paranormal Romance/Fantasy and Contemporary, they are 90% identical, but depending on the content, it may vary)
- Looking for 2-3 Newsletter swaps per Newsletter
- Creation, content, maintenance, planning (this also includes the writing of the introduction on top and coming up with catchy headlines - we will work together here, you don't have to do it all alone). Templates are already in place, so there's no need to design anything
- Include promotions & giveaways
Social Media
- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (about 2 posts/tweets per week, include relevant hashtags for Instagram & Twitter)
- Content management
- Share posts from other authors
- Posting promotions & giveaways
- Commenting on relevant posts to support my social media growth, reach out to new people and relevant target audiences
- Graphics: as described in the requirements section (either you can provide one, or I can create them, depending on how many would be needed)
Marketing
- Brainstorming with me about promotions, giveaways and contests (about one every 2 months)
- Looking for cross promotions with other authors
- Running contests, choosing the winner, etc.
For book releases (about 2x a year)
- ARC management (sending & tracking)
- search for bloggers
Communication via Email. In the best case, we could do a Zoom call for starters. Organization of all documents via GoogleDrive or OneDrive.
Depending on how business goes and how well we work together, I'm willing to hand over more tasks in the future (e.g. optimizing Newsletter automation sequences, posting on my website, landing page A/B testing, etc.), but I'd like to get to know you first and see how things go. Better to do it in little steps :)
