1. On an RPI 4 make 18 touch screen buttons act as momentary contact switches. Touch for on let off for off. Nothing fancy. Buttons already written to screen. Just need macros. It currently sends the first 18 letters of the alphabet. If thats ok for an output, the screen is done. 2. Turn on and off 18 gpios via buttons to source (18) 300 milliamp 24v solenoids. Only 1 button pushed at a time but up to 6 solinoids to fire simutaneously controlled by spst switches on each solinoid. The route is button to gpio to opto isolator to darlington to solenoid. Or button to gpio to dc SSR to solenoid. My fear being current limitation of gpio and protection of RPI so planning an independant 5v source to feed the opto
I could use a ULN2003A as well. Electronics background a huge plus. Language whatever works. This project is for handicapped Veterans and civilians alike.
