You will be working with a major car buying company in Australia, possibly one of the largest.
The process of their business is such:
1. Customer submits inquiry online to get vehicle price estimate
2. Sales Consultant calls customer to collect / confirm details
3. An inspection is booked (if the customer is happy with price) for a mechanic to visit vehicle
4. Mechanic drives to the customers and opens web app on iPad to complete inspection
5. Mechanic collects info, confirms car details, checks car health, notes any damages / repairs

6. Once mechanic submits the above info, the iPad is handed over to the customer at which point the 'offer experience' is presented to them

This company is going through some pretty significant change at the moment and I have recently moved to Singapore to take on another venture. I need someone who can effectively communicate with me and is very reliable.
When I first came on board as their Product Manager, I inherited a bespoke CRM which has been built in Ruby. I was given no choice but to work with the developer who built this at the time and build the front-end applications on top of this using this dev (in react).
The company has been going through a significant change including the parent company rolling out SalesForce across the group. Although this will take some time to do, we will need to consider the future requirements when building out this new front-end.
This engagement would likely span for a 4-6 months - with two major outcomes:
1. Build out front-end with the consideration of a future SalesForce rollout (how might SF integrate out application into the future?)
2. Contribute to the other projects on the product roadmap
3. Prepare our tech / product for a full handover to a F/T full-stack developer that they will be hiring
The third point is very important. The reason we are removing the old developer who has built the CRM and all exisiting functionality is for two reasons:
1. He is very slow
2. Cannot adhere to any timelines
3. Creates A LOT of technical debt
4. Very little documentation
Considering that this company wants to be technology led in the next 1-2 years, it is important we start the transition to allow them to scale their team and tech into the future.

PS. Video prototype / demo is a 90% accurate representation of what will need to be implemented. Some small changes still need to be implemented.
