A UK-based, early stage technology startup, with the vision to develop a digital innovation ecosystem, is seeking to work with a senior, independent software professional on a part-time basis, who can overtake and continue the job of the current senior full-stack software engineer.
The main scope of the project is developing & deploying the first version of a visual information management platform, tweaked with gamification techniques. The platform is supporting the early stages of the innovation processes, and it's aimed at SMEs.
We aim to deploy to the cloud (AWS) the first version until the end of November 2019, with the intention to onboard the first dozens of users by the end of December 2019.
At this stage we have a working prototype, locally deployed. The main module is a visual canvas editor that is permitting users to generate ideas, model, plan and map out current and future states of the business, prioritize information (ideas, actions, risks, issues, etc.) - using one of the over 50 tools from the library (template/canvas/visual metaphor based activities).
Users will have the possibility to receive contextual support (tool specific questions, guidance on when and how to use a tool, information about the informal roles involved, etc.). This is the area where we are seeking to implement a variety of applied game techniques.
The project requires a varied skillset & experience with technologies, standards and services:
React.js, Redux, Webpack, Node.js, ES2018
SVG standard and DOM manipulation
Object serialization, metadata management
Microservice architecture, Websocket/REST APIs
AWS services such as S3, EC2, Fargate, CodeBuild and Docker
We are seeking to work with you, if you:
have a can do attitude, and you are a real problem solver
are comfortable with agile processes (iterative, working code)
have a good English command, available for weekly voice calls
can dedicate around 20 hours of work per week in the next 4 months
agree to sign a simple non-disclosure agreement covering the project details
