Toogit, the world's largest freelancer marketplace with over $1B in wealth distributed between client and freelancers, is looking for a Staff Technical Product Manager who can re-imagine and scale our data and analytics infrastructure for the next stage. If you've ever desired to lead a platform team that process transactions at 10 digit scale, this job is for you. As the Staff Technical Product Manager, Data you will establish a vision and roadmap for the area and lead a diverse set of stakeholders to turn that vision into reality.
In this role, you will:
Establish a vision and product roadmap for Toogit data platform including data pipeline infrastructure (event logging, data streaming, etc) and data management systems and tools such as data warehouse, analytics tools, A/B test manager, experiment dashboarding tool.
Manage and unify multiple data platform initiatives across company to build a foundational, shared data infrastructure,
Work with our data scientist, business analytics community, and data engineers to ensure their data needs are met with agile methodology,
Evaluate 3rd party and open source data processing and management technologies,
Lead the evolution of our Editorial Review tool which provides a human-centric perspective on the quality of our search results and informs improvements that ultimately make the results more relevant.
To win in this role, you need:
Technical experience ( ideally as full-stack engineer familiar with SQL and non-sql based database technologies) that enables you to understand the nuances of data pipeline issues & solutions.
Hands on SQL and analytic ( Google Analytics, Domo, etc ) experience to support our data science and business analytics communities,
Experience integrating cloud-based data pipeline and analytics services such as AWS Kinesis, AWS data pipeline, EMR, Redshift, Google Tag Management, Google Analytics, etc.
Working knowledge of cloud-based and on-premise Big Data technologies like hadoop, spark, etc.
Strong analytical mindset. You love complex problems and enjoy breaking them down while using data to inform the path forward.
Experience working in an experiment-driven culture. The ideal candidate will have several years experience working at a company that conducts experiments on a world class level.
Collaborative personality. You thrive in environments where you need to work with a diverse set of partners in order to achieve your objectives.
Attention to detail combined with drive. You take ownership of projects and take pride in seeing them through to full completion.
Passion for Product Management. You aspire to be a "full stack PM" and are constantly working to develop your skillset.
