Overview
We are looking for an amazing, data-driven team player to assist with the management of software and maintenance contracts for a large, global enterprise. The incumbent will support the Senior Director of Technology Procurement in collecting, organizing and recording software contracts, as well as managing upcoming renewals to ensure the best possible negotiation position.
Responsibilities
Compare the terms and conditions in legacy client software contracts with updated, standard terms and conditions created by corporate. Rectify gaps.
Review existing software contracts & ensure proper codification in Flexera.
Maintain standard SAM reports on all owned software.
Maintain a list of renewals and project manage each upcoming renewal from consumption analysis through contract execution and license distribution.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in software asset management for both on-prem and cloud/SaaS software.
Deep understanding of the software asset lifecycle, and the roles of stakeholders at different stages.
Software negotiation and purchase order administration experience.
Experience with key software publishers (SAP, Adobe, Oracle, Microsoft). Microfocus, Atlassian and Akamai are a plus.
Experience interpreting software license metrics.
Experience gathering and analyzing contract data to drive significant cost savings.
Understanding of Flexera, including how purchase and contract data should be entered, and how to compare that with consumption of software licenses.
Strong project management and communications skills.
Strong ability to work with stakeholders and manage dynamics to maintain internal customer satisfaction and equity.
Education & Accreditations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Certified Software Asset Manager is a plus.
