Job Title: Field Training Coordinator
Reports To: Installations Manager
This can be a permanent position or a six-twelve month contract position depending on the desires of the candidate.
Position is based in Iowa. Relocation and/or Travel Allowance potential for exceptionally qualified candidates.
SUMMARY: Creates, organizes, and manages training program for solar installations field staff. Performs both classroom, staged practical, and field based training to ensure that new and existing employees are installing products to manufacturer's and Simpleray's specifications while also learning industry best practices. Hosts trainings for subcontractors and customers as necessary to increase their core competencies and ensure quality installations. Work to perpetually increase the knowledge base of employees and the company with continuing education programs.

Maintain the Simpleray standards of Safety, Quality and Production in that order.
Be a road warrior spending several days to weeks at a time on site with new installation crews working to develop skills.*
Create, implement, and maintain training programs and systems using practical hands on and learning software.*
Evaluate new and existing employees for proficiency in skills and assist in developing action plans for improvement, or if they cannot be improved, determine if employees should be retained.*
Assist with the implementation of OSHA specific and other Safety related trainings.*
Ensure that employees and subcontractors learn the specifics of Simpleray specific systems and/or technology.*
Evaluate, recruit, and make hiring recommendations on new field team members for installation crews.*
Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of projects. *
Be available to work in all reasonable weather conditions in all seasons to perform job functions. *
Provide amazing interpersonal experience for customers while starting their Simpleray experience*
Become an expert in all Simpleray systems and process to assist with training employees on the same.
Know all manufacturer installation specifications and be able to instruct others on them.
Coordinate with manufacturer's representatives and arrange for product specific trainings and demonstrations on Simpleray relevant materials.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include ensuring safe working conditions, maintaining high quality standards, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work within the confines of a training capacity through the needs of the Project Manager and Installations Manager; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees when immediate response is necessary; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, and project management software. Google Suite (Docs, Sheets and Mail). Aptitude in learning new computer systems is necessary.
Previous experience with AutoCAD, Helioscope, Zendesk, Zoho Projects, and/or TradeGecko are also highly preferred, but not required.
Associates Degree, preferably in Construction / Project Management, or equivalent years of experience in related area.
Solar: 2 years experience.
Knowledge of National Electric Code, Building Codes
Management, Operations: 2 years experience
Demonstrated ability in managing projects: installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Valid Driver's License
NABCEP Certified Highly preferred
Required for permanent hire candidate. If not already certified, must be obtained within six months of hire as condition of employment.
FAA 107 License required, can obtain within 60 days of hire
