Support Customer R&D, compliance, and procurement teams in their integration of SAE Standards Database Products (via an API) into customer home-built systems, and commercial Mechanical CAD, PDM, PLM, and simulation tools. With your strong technical and communication skills, you will provide problem solving guidance to both aerospace and ground vehicle development communities in a pre- and post-sales, application-based capacity. You will work within the customer IT framework to help support the integration of SAE database products into customer environments.
Customer-facing responsibilities:
- Provide application consultancy, support and training to administrators or vendor partners.
- Translate customer's business requirements into technical requirements to determine proper solution and integration strategy.
- Technical coordination with cross functional teams such as IT infrastructure, IT application management, Business facing IT, and global CAD and PLM business users.
- Lead compatibility testing for customer sites.
- Travel 20-40% (domestic and some international)
Internal responsibilities:
- Work alongside sales to provide the technical support for pre-sales activities during the sales process.
- Be a partner to sales to guide sales in the proper SAE technical products for a customer solution which delivers on the customer's business needs.
- Partner with product management to provide intelligence about the customer environment, their needs, and product functions/features necessary for continued excellence and competitiveness.
Requirements:
- 7+ years relevant IT experience, contributing to complex IT CAD and PLM solutions.
- Proven track of CAD and PLM implementations in manufacturing industries. Automotive and aerospace sectors preferred but not required.
- Experienced in creating project documentation and deliverables like Statements of Work, Functional and Detailed Design Specifications, and Test Plans.
- Good knowledge of enterprise PLM functionalities such as Part, BOM, document management, quality management, PLM integration with ERP, change management (ECR/CO), CAD Integration.
- Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure (server and PC).
- Hands-on experience in and in-depth understanding of two or more of industry standard CAD applications (e.g AutoCAD, CATIA, Solidworks)
- Good knowledge and experienced in PLM platforms like 3DS, Teamcenter, Dassault Systems, Siemens Teamcenter.
- Good knowledge and experience in project management methodology
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement customer-focused processes & procedures
- Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with all levels of the business.
- Experience in an established system integration firm is recommended.
- Good communication and presentation skills are a must. Strong ability to explain IT concepts in a non-technical language to business partners.
