We are taking over a clothing manufacturing company.
We make workwear pants, polo shirts, outer jackets, factory overalls and safety vests.
Currently, we have experienced machinists who have been in the industry for many years, they like to make a whole garment from start to finish.
However, this approach won't work for new trainees. We would like to create a Kaizen lean operations approach. However the new owners do not have experience within this industry to break down the manufacturing steps of clothing into simple tasks so that younger people with no experience can be easily put into a sewing position with little experience.
Ideally we would like the conolexed tasks of manufacturing left to the experienced machinists. Is there someone out there that can make this ide come to life?
We need an expert to create a SOP. A SOP (Standard operation procedure) is a process that describes in details in detail the way that an operator should perform a given operation. SOPs include the purpose of the operation, the equipment and materials required how to perform the setup and operations required for the process, how to perform the maintenance and shutdown operations carried out by the worker, a description of safety issues and checklist. This SOP is one of several process documents required for consistent operation of a given process, with other documents including process flow chart.
You will need experience in this industry and need to write in the document thebest methodof performing processes for continuous improvement within the clothing factory.
Lean strategy in Garment industry is mainly centered around 5S & Kaizen but an effective lean strategy should be made by keeping Standardisation as the focus point.
We want someone with this knowledge to write a document so that we can structure our operations around it.
Please get in touch if you have the knowledge and skills for this job. You do need to come up with the processes and steps
