Project brief
Our programme sets out to improve both diet and nutritional knowledge within a UK prison environment. The programme consists of three key components: education, nutritional intervention and research.
Outcomes form a core pillar of our work, and we take a three-tiered approach to building our outcomes framework, considering individual, organisational and system needs. All outcomes are co-produced directly with participants, staff and existing partners, which empowers those involved in this work, enabling ownership for setting project goals, influencing project delivery, and shaping assessment of impact.
Role purpose
- Review design of developed assessment tools (e.g. pre and post assessment questionnaires, daily mood logs and focus groups), ensuring they are easy to administer and measure. Make recommendations for how to enhance the design of future assessments
- Input gathered data from 30 participants and maintain accurate databases, writing instructions on how to properly manage and organise survey data for future use
- Undertake data cleansing to produce accurate conclusions and results
- Perform statistical analysis to spot trends and detect relationships within data sets. Conduct tests to determine the reliability and soundness of data
- Conduct R&D to develop new predictive models, developing and sustaining quality control procedures
- Present statistical findings, creating two impact reports - one for internal use and one for the prison, including charts and graphs that describe and interpret research conclusions
- Verbally present findings, preparing PowerPoint if required

Skills and experience
- Demonstration of sound nutritional knowledge (preferred, but not essential)
- Experience of qualitative analysis
- Comprehensive experience in data analysis
- Sound articulation of data analysis to the lay audience
- Competent IT skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
