I am looking for a freelancer to essentially recreate a 2D CAD plan (DWG file available) of a joist/bearers and steel beam layout into a Tekla or Advanced Steel model.
From the model, the successful applicant will create joist, beam and bracket layouts, structural steel connection details and BOM/BOQ etc used for onsite assembly of the floor system.
The bracket layouts mentioned above are used to locate the brackets to the bearer, to later support the joists prior to lifting into position on site. Joists, bearers and brackets are all steel.
Typically our floors are around the 120-300m2 in size and usually have anywhere between 4 and 12 steel beams.
This will be on going work, ideally the successful applicant should come with experience in designing floors and being aware of pipe and A/C penetrations thru the floor etc. Furthermore being able to read and interpret Architectural drawings (inc. plans and elevations) and engineering plans and sections.
The deliverable will be full set of PDF documents for assembly of floor on site. Also the native Tekla or AS model/part files of the model.
Applicant to speak and write in fluent English and use Metric templates. Familiarity with standard Australian hot rolled steel profiles is an advantage.
