Diagnose & Troubleshoot ESXi server environment.
- Tune performance of VMWare servers and management of server resources between virtual machines.
- Configure and troubleshoot vSphere replication, SRM - Failover and Failback configuration.
- Install vCenter, ESXi 5.X/6.X and Configure vDS, HA, DRS, VUM, FT.
- Configure DataStores, Storage policies etc.
- Create snapshot backups and troubleshooting snapshots.
- Create vCenter clusters, distributed virtual switches, distributed port groups.
- Add ESXi hosts into vCenter, configure them with distributed virtual Switches and port groups.
- Configure Virtual Machine Customization Specifications
- Deploy and Manage Virtual Machines using Virtual center through OVF/OVA.Contribute to overall design and standardization efforts
- Assist with Data Center capacity, configuration, and growth planning
- Manage HP and Cisco blade environments including design, build, and maintain
- Apply security best practices compliant with NIST and STIG baselines
- Interface with storage and network teams in design, performance optimization, capacity planning Job Requirements
- Experience with VMware tools including ESX, ESXi/vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, vRealize and other virtualization technologies and concepts
- Possesses a deep understanding of VMware core components and their relation to storage and networking, and be proficient in data center design methodologies
- Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or other industry standard solutions for DR/BC.
- Outstanding customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to remain agile in a fast-paced, ever-evolving IT department
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Ability to automate aspects of vSphere management using PowerCLI
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience with job related skills
