We are working on a 3D cartoon stylized game similar in art style to games like Spyro. The main premise of our game is heavily inspired by the chao garden from the Sonic Adventure games featured on Dreamcast and Gamecube. Knowledge or familiarity with the chao garden is a plus, but not required.
We are aiming for an initial release on PC and then porting to Nintendo Switch at a later date. In the current time, even for the PC version we are developing the game to the required specs of the Nintendo Switch for a smooth future port. Knowledge of Nintendo Switch requirements however are not required upon hiring.
We are looking for someone capable of the following...
- Proficient in Unreal Engine and C++
- Unreal Blueprints
- Importing various models and art assets
- An understanding of implementing environment assets and lighting
- Importing pre-created animations from our team
- Creating various game menus
- Capable of coding simple character AI
- A level up, letter rank, and stat system similar to what exists in the chao garden.
- Breeding mechanics similar to what exists in chao garden.
- A racing mini-game similar to what exists in chao garden.
We are looking for someone with a semi-high amount of experience. Someone willing to work inside a small team. Preferably finished a game or project in the past in at least some fashion.
Currently we have a team of 8 people that have already been creating assets for the game for several months. Essentially at this point we need an unreal dev to start piecing the game together for us.
This is a remote, 'from home' position. Most discussion and game organization takes place on discord. Creating a discord account will be required to participate.
Preferably after discussion, we can establish a milestone plan for payment arrangements.
