Chertens Consulting is looking to hire a Veeam Product Suite Specialist to serve our rapidly growing client base. Ideal candidates will have experience in the full Veeam Software Suite, including Backup & Replication, Cloud Connect, Endpoint Agents, and Office 365 Backups.
Candidates will provide day to day technical support and review of all current Veeam Backup Configurations, as well as the setup of new backup tasks, troubleshooting/resolution of any issues and implementation of new Veeam Products/Features.
This contract will begin with an extensive Audit of our current Veeam environment and provide recommendations to bring our systems in line with Veeam best practices.
We would also like our Veeam platform to report to our Connectwise ticketing system for any job failures to be worked by you or our staff.
Prior Managed Service Provider and ConnectWise Manage experience is highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
- Daily - Monitors existing backup tasks (local and remote) for success. Any failures will be worked to resolution.
- Installs and configures new Veeam appliances and cloud backup job sets
- Administers and manages Cloud Connect Backups, as well as the infrastructure supporting them
- Act as an escalation point for backup questions/problems
- Maintain and improve current backup reporting software
- Monthly - Audit of Veeam environment with recommendations for process/system improvement.
- Ongoing - Ensure compliance with our backup standard retention schedule
- Quarterly - Backup testing with 10% of our accounts.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication, Veeam Agents, Backup for Office 365 and Cloud Connect
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification highly regarded
- Thorough knowledge of Hyper-V's backup process and administration of related tasks
- Communicate status of support tickets with key personnel
- Helpful and friendly personality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and the highest level of customer service
