Creating a virtual reality experience in Unreal Engine, and need ongoing consultation for a VR experience that will take place in space. I am a software engineer myself and becoming familiar with c++ and unreal engine, so I will not need someone to do all the work by themselves, but act more as a consultant, with expert instruction on the best way to do things.
* Expert Understanding of cubemaps/skyboxes for virtual reality. Every resource I have found thus far to create a skybox or cubemap for stars ends in a pixelated sphere that seems way too close to the player, I am looking to have a vastness of space effect, to make it feel like the stars are far away into the distance.
* Expert understanding of large levels. The experience will have the players travelling back and forth from the earth to the moon, so an understanding of how to best implement this for performance/rendering will be necessary.
I am using the default budget that is suggested for this field. Depending on experience compensation can be adjusted, or fixed into a one time fee. I am flexible on this
