Key Responsibilities:
Develop web scraping scripts;
Work with the head developer on learning the backend software (C++);
Modify and update the .NET Library within the software;
Maintain existing web scraping scripts;
Develop and maintain supporting programs using shell scripting, batch programming, Perl, and other tools;
Other special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems;
Basic understanding of HTML and Javascript for the process of scraping web content;
Knowledge of Regular Expression Syntax;
Knowledge of Xpaths;
Knowledge of the .NET library within Windows;
Knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL;
Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services);
C++ programming experience;
Web developer experience is desired;
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
Excellent analytical skills.
