WHO WE ARE:
We are an online education company based in the US. We teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult learners worldwide through online courses, apps, voice-first technology, live events online and offline, etc.
We attract and engage our audience through our popular podcasts, live webinars, social media, and more. We have a lot of energy and passion in what we do and we are excited about this next project.
THE PROJECT:
Our website was first designed in 2014 and has not had a major update since that time.
The website is out of date, cluttered, high bounce rate, and does not retain leads or convert leads into sales.
We are clear on our goals for this project but we are looking for a talented designer who can turn these goals into reality and can offer a structured process, delivered on time and with professional design insight along the way.
GOALS:
Our biggest and main focus for this project will be conversion but additional goals include:
TRAFFIC: attract additional traffic and maintain SEO changes we have already made, lower bounce rate
CONVERSION: make it easy for students to know exactly what to do on the site and to convert from visitors to leads to buyers for our products and courses
RETENTION: to bring current students back to our site and look for next product to convert, increase student lifetime value
EXPANSION: Showcase opportunities for hiring, partnership opportunities with other brand, etc. to help us be seen as a major player in our market
We have sub-goals within each one which I would expect to be a part of our early conversations.
Deliverable: A new look and feel for the website, fully implemented and live, with conversion paths for specific user types, meeting our business goals stated above.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
-Experienced designer or design team who uses a clear, step-by-step design process
-Ability to not only create the new design but also implement it in the code
-Knowledge of UI/UX design principles to offer suggestions and gear our decisions in the right direction
-Understanding of how to design based on User Types and their expected actions
-Clear and specific milestones and adherence to timeline
-Understanding of SEO and how design affects it (we did an SEO update this fall and we don't want to un-do our SEO work with design changes)
-Understanding of complexities of designing for an international audience
-Strong attention to and experience with mobile design if not mobile-first design focus then must be at least 50/50 focus
-Attention to detail and solid communication between us
-Able to provide samples of previous work and testimonials/references/contact info
