We need to extract property information e.g. address, assessed value, from our county assessors page and put it into an excel sheet. The tool will need to run on a regular basis to extract any new or updated data.
The deliverable are:
- Tool, either developed from scratch using a programming language e..g Python or using a cloud web scraping platform
- The initial data set scraped/extracted and the data bi-annually.
Instructions:
On our county assessor's page:
Use the "last name" search bar to search every address in the database by starting with searching "aa" and scraping the info for every address, then scraping the addresses on "ab", then "ac", "ad" all the way to "zz" so that no address is missed.
We want these fields combined into a spreadsheet.
Below the picture of the property, you can find "Legal Description and Mailing Address" section. From there on the right side, please extract:
First Name
Last name
Property address
Property city
Property state
Property zip
Under the section titled "Current Values" Please pull the info from:
Class
Land
Building
total cost
Under the section titled "residences" please pull
Occupancy
Year built
Condition
Total square foot living area
Under "sales records" pull the records for:
Sale date
Sale price
Instrument
