Website requirements are as follows:
Functional Design
Requirement 1: User will input the make, model, and year of their vehicle
Requirement 2: User needs to be able to select the type of tire that they want to buy (All season, winter, or Performance)
Requirement 3: User will need to confirm that the tire they are purchasing is the standard size for their vehicle
Requirement 3: User needs to be able to select the tire that they want to purchase
Requirement 4: User will need to select the quantity of tires that they want to purchase
Requirement 4: User will select the location of where the tires will be installed
Requirement 5: User will need to create an account
Requirement 6: User will need to provide a payment method
Requirement 7: Customer will need to be able to review payment/order information
Requirement 8: Customer will need to be able to contact tires in time for updates to their order.
Requirement 9: This website must be able to be automated so when the customer places an order, the automation places an order directly with the wholesaler/distributor for the tires that our customer purchases.
User Interface
Screen 1: User types in the make, model, year, and trim of their car. They will also select the type of tire they want to purchase (Winter, All-Season, or Performance)-There will be a brief description under each one. The website will search a database based on the information provided to populate the standard tire size of the vehicle on the next screen (i.e P215/65 R15).
Screen 2: This screen will display the size of the standard tire and the customer will confirm or deny that this is the size of the tire on their vehicle. There will be an instructional video to show customers how to confirm this information. If the tire size is not correct, then the customer will manually enter the size of their tire and this will search the database for the correct size and type of tire that the customer wants to purchase.
Screen 3: Based on the tire information, this screen will populate a list of tires that meet the requirements that the customer has selected with a description of each tire. This screen will provide visuals rating each tire based on several metrics. Once the customer selects the tire they want they will click the Next button.
Screen 4: There will be a dropdown where the customer will select the number of tires they want to purchase and it will also show a vehicle from an aerial view where the customer will select which tires they want to replace.
Screen 5: A summary of charges will populate. The customer will provide their vehicle information (Make, Model, Year, Color, License plate number, and telephone number) then Select a Date, Time, and Location of where their vehicle will be at the time they want the tires installed. A list of other services (Tire warranty, etc) will be provided and they can select these on this page as well. The customer will also provide payment/billing information for their purchase on this page.
Screen 6: This page will provide a confirmation number and confirm the payment/Installation address. A list of next steps will populate for the customer to ensure a successful installation.
Administrator Interface
Requirement 1: Administrator/Business will need to be able to view the order details (Tire(s) purchased, location of delivery/installation, Customer contact information, etc.)
Requirement 2: Administrator/Business will need to be able to export the sales data from the website via Microsoft excel
Requirement 3: Administrator/Business will need to be able to have a messaging system set up where they can contact the customer
Requirement 4: Administrator/Business will need to be able to create a dashboard based on information from the sale
