The Windows Server Engineer's (temporary assignment) role is to install, manage, monitor and decommission Windows servers across the enterprise while ensuring high levels of availability.
The position is project based until the end of 2020.
WINDOWS ENGINEER
Your profile:
-3+ years of experience as a Windows server engineer (5+ years would be an advantage);
-Good Windows system administration at the command-line level;
-Strong ITIL knowledge
-Good PowerShell scripting skills and an understanding of Infrastructure as Code;
-Good understanding of server security best practices;
-Experience with templates and other configurable items to enable automation;
-Relevant IT-related education
-MSCA Windows Server certification (could be in process of obtaining);
-Fluency in English;
-Strong customer service orientation;
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations;
-Experience in mentoring and providing leadership to junior team members would be an advantage;
Your role:
-Configure and maintain server platforms to ensure reliable operations;
-Implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to servers;
-Manage server, operating system and application patching;
-Manage server performance monitoring, providing KPI statistics and reporting as required by senior management, as well as performing problem troubleshooting to quickly restore service to the business whenever issues arise;
