I am looking for a WordPress theme/plugin expert that can customise a premium WordPress theme.
The customisations are mostly functions and not design related.
Before providing an estimate, please ensure you have read the brief carefully and spent time looking at the demo site provided on both the front-end and back-end.
The live site will only be provided to short-listed candidates.
One of the requirements for the job is to provide a log of all modifications made and the code snippets of those customisations.
> I would prefer if all mods were coded in a new Plug-In with on/off switches for each customisation.
> Every modification must be lightweight and using best practices for speed and SEO.
> We do not want any 3rd party plugins as a solution, we want all modifications to be custom coded.
As well as these modifications, we will require constant support from the chosen developer to implement new features and fix bugs on a regular basis thereafter, this can be negotiated after successful completion of this project.
The modifications are as follows, please read them carefully.
1. Remove elements from the embedded video player on the single ad page (only leave the player controls and volume, remove all YouTube elements). This could be achieved with a new HTML5 player.
2. Remove the following 3 filter options (from the front end and back end)
a. Condition > Manufacturer refurbished
b. Condition > For parts not working
c. Show ads with images only.
3. Modify the default view so that on mobile it uses GRID view and with all screen sizes larger it uses LIST view (whilst still providing the option to switch). The theme is 100% responsive presently, I just need this function to be automatic.
4. Limit the precise address of an ad on the front end so that only the suburb and state shows up on the advert and not the street or street number. So if the user has entered their exact address when submitting the ad, their exact address will not be published.- Please see the demo backend for how the address is entered, it uses Gmaps autofill.
5. Create a 'Social share' button on the single blog page (similar to that of the single ad page). The code for this function is already in the theme, I just need it on the single blog page as well.
6. Remove all non-necessary google maps API requests (such as Places API Contact Data & Places API Atmosphere Data)
7. Add a button to the existing email receipt that is sent after a promotions purchase. The button should link to the specific invoice in a web browser window.
8. Place 2 buttons on top of the existing invoice page (Download PDF & Print). The print function already exists in the theme.
9. During the user registration process, implement an OTP via SMS and then have that phone number hard-coded into the user's profile (unchangeable by user). This should be implemented with Twilio. The theme already has Twilio embedded in the code, I just need it for the signup process.
10. Enable an email blacklist feature where any user trying to register for an account gets their email checked with the blacklist or spam database (to prevent buyers and sellers from signing up with throwaway email addresses).
11. Place a larger 'Promote Ad' button next to each ad in the user's dashboard so it stands out and promotes the feature better. The feature already exists, please check the demo, we just need the button to be bigger and in a better position.
12. Web Push Notifications (with sound) for any received messages via the inbuilt messaging system.
The messaging system already exists and works very well as it has a visible notification in the menubar. We just need new messages to push a browser notification.
Please provide an estimation of how many hours would be required to complete these tasks.
