Workday Security SME
In this role, you will serve as the hands-on subject matter expert and point of contact for Workday Financials and HCM Security and Reporting configuration and administration. This role will support, implementation of security functionalities and develop new reporting solutions within Workday. You will leverage your functional and technical expertise to understand the requirements, business processes and contribute to the development of Workday Security and Reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to execute their various functional / technical requirements within Workday
- Assist in security administration tasks, including assigning appropriate security roles, performing semi-annual user access reviews, and contributing to security design discussions as necessary
- Problem solving and troubleshooting of issues relating to security and reporting needs, perform hands-on security group, domain and user security configurations in Workday
- Recommend best security practices and provide sound solutions to support end to end business processes
- Perform on-going security audits, maintain security controls per audit policies and guidelines and perform impact analysis due to new needs, change requests or Workday system upgrades
- Analyze, design, and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields)
- Act as SME for all Workday Financial functional modules
- Collaborate with other teams on multi-functional projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall Workday Financials and HCM systems experience with in depth knowledge and understanding of security and reporting administration
- 2+ years of demonstrated Workday hands on security configuration & administration experience, experience implementing or supporting Workday HCM security groups, domains, security profiles
- Report writing capabilities preferred
- Knowledge of Workday integrations, reports and calculated fields
- Ability to multi-task and change priorities as needed
- Excellent Communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration etc. or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
