ABOUT ME

My name is Abdullah Ibrahim Azab, I am a 20 years’ experienced translator and I would be honored to be a part of your team.

During school, I discovered my passion for languages, I wanted to pursue my academic career in the field of languages. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry in 2005, but I continued with a 1-year diploma in translation studies at the AUC in 2010, aimed at translating from English to Arabic and vice versa to gain a better understanding of the field of translation.

My college education was exclusively taught in English which allowed me to obtain a high level of proficiency of the language as well as reading of complex English texts, listening to Music, watching movies and TV series. Moreover, I worked in the field of medical transcription which improved my English listening and writing skills dramatically. As a result, I have grown perfectly accustomed to working in an international environment speaking only English.

My medical transcription experience over the years made me an expert dealing with PMRs (patient medical records) which include History and Physical, Office Notes, Letters, Admission and Discharge Summaries, Operative Reports, all kinds of Lab reports, all kinds of Radiology Reports. I also acquired the skill of touch-typing with a very high speed of 70 WPM.

I worked in translating patient medical records for a number of Saudi hospitals from English to Arabic. The translated medical records include medical reports, operative reports, mortality reports, and other different forms of medical reports.

Alongside that, I translated educational content for schools of the gulf region (Qatar, Saudi Arabia & UAE) in the form of textbooks, E-books and e-learning applications including but not limited to (social sciences, physics and general health) for elementary, preparatory and secondary stages.

I believe these skills to be essential in translating texts, as they enable you to work in a precise manner with an eye for detail. I enjoy not only translating but also doing the linguistic checks of medical and science texts.

Moreover, I have good MS Office skills alongside my interest in web design and computers hardware.
