ABOUT ME

My extensive experience in record management, archival arrangement, training and my commitment to achieving the highest quality aligns extremely well with the skills and knowledge that you are looking for. I will offer over 9 years progressive experience in the field of archives administration, records management and information management, including managing records life-cycle in both paper and electronic format. In 2018, I emerged as the top performer in the CISM exam.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with records, document and information management systems. I have had the opportunity to implement Record management programs and facilitate record management policies, standards, procedures and projects implementation. Additionally, I am proficient in facilitating the development and use of record management tools such as; Business Classification Scheme (BCS), Metadata, Retention and disposal authority (RDA) among others. I am also excellent in business process mapping.

Currently, I am working as a public officer in Kenya serving as a record management officer for a state Corporation where I am in charge of the Record Management Unit. I successfully established, developed and implemented a record management filing system within the first month of my employment. I also developed and delivered record management sensitization trainings for all employees of the corporation. Currently, I am spearheading the sort out, appraisal, inventory and re-organization of the corporation over 90 million records. I have been appointed as a member of the Data warehouse project implementation committee as the record management specialist and to oversee implementation of a EDRMs for the corporation. I have also been appointed as member of QMS Committee and trained as an internal auditor for QMS. I have been appointed as lead auditor for QMS for Finance and Internal audit departments of the Corporation. I am also the secretary of the Corporation’s Record Management Committee that is charged with responsibility of aligning record management function with the Corporations strategy 2018-2023. Key deliverable for this is establishment of record management policies, development of retention and disposal authorities and implementation of record management program and electronic document and record management system (EDRMS) for the corporation. I also serve in the ISACA ( Information Systems Audit and Control Association)- Kenya Chapter Education Committee as a Volunteer.

Late last year I facilitated a training on effective strategies for the implementation of electronic record management program and digital archiving for Insurance Regulatory Authority (Uganda) where I was the lead trainer. One of the key deliverable for the training was effective change management. Previously I worked for an investigative agency where I was in-charge of vital investigative records. I initiated review of the Agency's record management Policy and procedures to conform to ISO 15489. While at the Agency, I was appointed as a member of the technical implementation committee for the implementation of the Agency's record management program in response to the record management strategy for 2018-2023. Before joining the Agency, I worked in a firm that deals with Information and Knowledge Management as an operations and training manager. In this position, I developed record, document archives and information management training programs and content. I successfully trained teams in identifying and implementing of record management systems and programs. Most notably, I was appointed as the Lead trainer for National Hospital Insurance Fund record management training where I successfully Trained (68) personnel.

Other key accomplishments include, facilitation of the implementation of a record management program for Precision air Tanzania between April 2015-December 2016, supervised sort out and re-organization of Kenya airways record centers and part time lecturing for Technical University of Kenya.
