ABOUT ME

Chika Onyekwere has relevant experience in oil & gas engineering practice and business leadership. She is a results-oriented Process Engineer who has been in the oil and gas industry as a self-starter. Her extensive experience with process strategies as well as her knowledge of the industry allows her to adapt and edit new strategies as they become available. Throughout the course of her early career, she has worked hard to establish relationships with professionals in other departments, such as maintenance, quality control, procurement, project engineering, business development and finance executives.

Chika is a highly motivated and certified HSE Officer with a strong background in carrying out daily operations of the HSE department with a view to contribute to the application of effective health, safety and environmental management. She has the ability to assist in the compliance of reviews and general risk assessments to support HSE management and she's competent at promoting incident prevention to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and members.

As an Oil-Well Cementing Analyst with strong communication and decision-maker skills, Chika has been exposed to several responsibilities, such as testing cementing recipes and programs for different well types and solving technical issues.

Chika also has certifications ranging from Energy Innovation to Business Leadership. She has built business models, assisted start-ups to scale their ventures and facilitated programs on leadership development. Just as in Oil and Gas Energy innovations, she is also committed to volunteering, and mentoring young minds.

Chika is a Philanthropy University and Young African Leadership Institute alumna, and U.S. Department of State International Exchange Program Alumni Network member. She is ready and qualified for the next stage in a successful career and currently looking for a suitable position with a dynamic and multicultural company.
