ABOUT ME

I am a Certified Public Accountant with more than 4 years’ professional experience in related aspect of financial and operational audits covering various organizations within Eastern Africa.

I am a lead auditor in the regional audit department involved in the financial and operational audit of properties owned and managed by the group. With the ever changing market/business trends in the region, I have equipped myself with invaluable risk management skills and extensive knowledge which has enabled me identify well in advance areas that are prone to non-compliance and therefore offering invaluable advice to the management having understood their pain points. Being a lead auditor in the regional department, I have also learnt the art of leadership and inter-personal skills that have been key in executing tasks assigned to me and my team. The assignments I have undertaken have exposed me to in-depth knowledge of general business operations, company laws and the fiscal laws within the region in general.

Being part of the team involved in the audit of the various properties I was able to understand the business processes and relevant internal controls and accordingly design and execute audit procedures. In addition, identify weaknesses in internal control systems and recommend improvements. As a lead auditor, I held an audit portfolio of 13 properties. I professionally improved on my report writing and presentation skills through preparation and presentation of audit reports to senior company management.
