ABOUT ME
Being a technologist at heart, and coming from a Financial Economics (MA) background, venturing into Machine Learning and Data Science was a natural step.
Since completing my Masters Degree in Financial Economics, I have been the acting Financial Manager and Consultant of a company specialized in Real Estate Construction and General Trading.
Throughout this time, I was teaching myself full-stack development and DevOps; and after mastering web-development I launched my e-commerce startup which I had built from the ground up;
My interest in Machine Learning and Data Science sprung from my drive to elevate my startup to the next level.
Learning by example led me to develop a production ready recommender system (collaborative filtering). By then, ML had become a passion. I pursued a Deep Learning Specialization in order advance my AI applications. Unfortunately, Covid-19 and the financial crisis in my country forced me to temporarily shutdown my company.
Now that I have free time on hand and a wide range of expertise in my pocket, I am considering venturing into the world of Machine Learning and Data Science.
I am NOT seeking a limiting position in a company but rather an opportunity to be part of a special team where I can apply my diverse knowledge and help them succeed and grow.
I am a driven person who is always seeking to optimize and improve the job at hand; and I’m constantly learning to improve my skills and acquire new ones.
