ABOUT ME

Hi there, my name is Elise. With an Honors Degree in Literatures in English and eight (8) collective years’ experience in Administrative Assistance, writing, editing, and proof-reading, I believe I could be the person you are looking for.

As a trained copy editor, proofreader, and writer, I have edited and proofread novels, short stories, academic titles, government proposals, web content, and journal articles. As a copy editor and proofreader, I review writers' final drafts to ensure they are free of errors. Additionally, I ensure that the writing is easy to read and fits the preferred editorial style. Currently, I work as a freelance Copyeditor and Writer for Buzzz Caribbean Lifestyle Magazine which has been running successfully for over 15 years. Additionally, I have written for several International (the U.K and the U.S) and Local (Caribbean) online magazines, newspapers, and blogs, while also working on a freelance basis by taking on multiple assignments for various companies. Additionally, my English Degree training has allowed me to make all necessary corrections, focusing specifically on English spelling, punctuation, and sentence flow. In 2011, I entered the International Small Axe Literary Competition and was shortlisted while also being published. I have a real talent when it comes to understanding and working along with people. Not only am I trained professional, but writing and reading are my passions. I spent years studying this craft and enjoy editing and helping people discover themselves through words.
