ABOUT ME

As a highly motivated Deaf individual, I am expressing my interest to be part of your research team. I believe that my deafness will never be a barrier and joining your team will provide me the chance to pursue my long-term career goals.

In October 2017, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Applied Deaf Studies, Computer Graphic Arts and Technology Track at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. As a student, I have been extensively involved in different volunteering programs, which has allowed me to develop positive values and strong interpersonal skills. The school has formed me to be a person with faith, professionally excellent and always in the service of others, our country especially the poor.

I am a passionate photographer and filmmaker; my deafness is not a hinder for me to pursue my passion. I have made some videos in school, community-based organizations and joined one independent film festival to which my work was given a special citation. It is through these that I am provided with a chance to have a voice and share that voice with others. Currently, I am part of a team which is called Visual Hands Studio. Our team focuses on creating films, documentaries and educational videos that will put Deaf advocacies and social awareness at the center.

I would very much appreciate the opportunity to work with your team and I believe I have a lot to contribute to the success of the research. I am looking forward to discussing my application with you soon.
