ABOUT ME

Hello! I am a Software Engineer who is passionate about learning and creating new technologies. I enjoy building tools that people can use to make their lives easier because I don’t believe things should be too difficult. I hope to use technology to inspire and empower underrepresented people.

I have built a Full Stack Meal Booking application with NodeJS, ExpressJS, PostgreSQL, React and Redux. I have also worked on an e-commerce project called GondorRC based on Reaction Commerce built with MeteorJS and React.

As a Software Apprentice, I worked as a Front-End engineer on an internal project called Activo which was built with Typescript, React/Redux, Jest, Selenium and Nightwatch. Activo serves as a single source of truth for all internal assets in my workplace. It solves the problem of managing our internal assets by making it easier to track purchases, repairs, allocations, requests and disposals.

I have worked as part of a quick credit application development team where we used Ionic(Angular) to build our mobile app, VueJS for our Admin app and NodeJS/HapiJS for our backend API.

In my day job, I work at one of the leading online learning platforms as a part of the Front-End engineering team where I am helping to build an amazing experience for our learners and partners alike. I am also currently leading a team of developers-in-training in building an application that allows users to create articles.

When I am not building something, I am either reading fiction or watching re-runs of The Big Bang Theory. I recently started learning how to swim and it has been a great experience.
