ABOUT ME

I am an experienced Corporate Finance Expert and qualified CPA Australia currently working in one of the Big Four Accounting Firms in Malaysia. I am able to provide the same skill sets and deliverable with high quality that are otherwise worth more than $300,000 if performed by the Big 4 Accounting firms. I have also access to the industry experts in my workplace for ideas and advice.

The skill sets that I specialized in are listed as below:
1) Financial Modeling and Forecasting (including Full Fledged Three Statement Model)

From my time in the corporate finance department in KPMG, I have worked on multiple financial modeling projects involving complex inputs and scenarios. A good model is one which is structured and easy to understand, navigate and use. My financial model will incorporate best practices to provide convenience and maximum flexibility to users. I will also take the responsibility to review, give feedback and challenge the assumptions provided when necessary in order to achieve maximum accuracy in the financial model. Some of the past projects relating to this skill set that I have worked on is:

- Financial Modeling for a public listed telecommunication company in Malaysia (three statement model)
- Financial Modeling for two public listed healthcare companies in Malaysia(three statement model)
- Financial Modeling for pre-revenue companies (biotech/tech) with clinical trial expenses, capital injection assumptions and commercialisation plans (three statement model)
- Financial Modeling for a few manufacturing companies

2) Business and Company Valuation (Market Approach, Income Approach and Cost Approach)

I have a lot of experience valuing companies especially in M&A deals. The job scope would involve calculating an indicative valuation of the target company using the appropriate approach, usually based on the life cycle of the companies and the industry it is in. During a valuation job,I will usually value a company using more than one approach (market approach, income approach and cost approach) in order to increase its accuracy. I am also able to analyse and provide an accurate WACC (weighted average cost of capital) based on my analysis on the peer companies and the company itself. Analysis of comparable companies and transactions are very essential in the valuation process as well. In many cases, financial modeling and valuation comes hand in hand due to its interconnected relationships. Some of the projects that I have worked on are as below:

a) Valuation for multiple telecommunication companies for M&A purpose
b) Valuation for manufacturing and trading companies
c) Valuation for pre-revenue biotech companies (based on probability of FDA approval) and tech companies (Enterprise Value/Revenue)
d) Valuation for few infrastructure companies

3) Due Diligence and Feasibility Study (Commercial/Financial Due Diligence/Feasibility Study)
I have also done multiple due diligence projects (commercial/financial and feasibility studies). A due diligence/feasibility study reports done by me would include: analysis of the financial statements, ratio analysis, market analysis (competitors, customers, suppliers), estimation of potential market size (through extrapolation or research) and potential return (IRR).

Using a combination of my financial modeling, valuation and feasibility study/due diligence skill sets, I have managed to help my clients make the right business decisions and better utilize their funds.

4) Working Capital Management
I have recently spent more than 8 months in a public listed telecommunication company for working capital management purposes. I have helped the company improves its receivables by planning and implementing various "Order to Cash" initiative to collect its money faster. I have a collection of best practices working capital initiatives that will be useful to any companies

Combining all my skill sets, I am able to provide management and business consulting that can provide business solutions to my clients. What I am able to offer is not only the technical skill sets that I have, but also the analysis and feedback that I can provide to all my clients based on my past experience. Anyone can build a model but not everyone can ask the right question to improve the accuracy of the model by using the right assumptions.
