ABOUT ME
I am a freelance proofreader and copyeditor with the passion for spotting errors and correcting typos in everything I read. My core duties are taking work from publishers, reviewing copies with attention to details, identifying errors, and noting changes that should be made. I work flexible hours to meet even the most urgent deadlines. I am currently focusing on Medical journals/scientific articles, business communications, but I am open to any kind of project.
I am responsible for proofreading print materials for a creatives/printing company servicing a clientele in the pharmaceutical, bank, and food industry. Although coming from a medical background, I have taken a proofreading and copyediting course (Art of Proofreading Pro by Phon Baille) to hone my skills and professionalize my craft. I use basic editing and comments functions in word and Adobe software to check errors, inconsistencies, and queries. I am familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style, The Associated Press Stylebook, and can also follow brand and house style preferences to ensure a level of consistency across projects. I have the ability to proofread artwork, formatting, design, charts, and various marketing collateral. I work flexible hours to ensure that deadlines are met.
