ABOUT ME

I was a maker before I knew what making was. Growing up I was dissatisfied with using things. I needed to know how they did what they did. So I dissected and reassembled until one day, I lost my appetite for taking things apart...and began to see things as whole on their own. And how they might fit together to make something new. Hello, my name is Rachad and I am a Maker.

Throughout my architecture career I have immersed myself in all parts of the design process, I was drafting, designing with clients, 3D modeling and rendering, and following up with contractors and engineers. Being part of a team working on design strategies allowed me to witness the creative process and to deepen my understanding of it.

With Digital Fabrication enabling the leap from industrial manufacturing – to affordable and accessible personal fabrication I have decided to completed a Masters in digital fabrication for interaction degree at the Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid, where I learned to handle a digital workflow, in both the design and prototyping stages, learning to distinguish between different manufacturing processes for prototyping and designing projects efficiently and quickly.

During these hard times, I am looking for an online job so I can have mobility and safety
