The DAW that I have been using for the past 5 years is Logic Pro X and I have a good command with Mac based computers but it doesn't matter which DAW the students use as the principles are the same and the skills they learn are transferable to any music production software. There is quite a bit of pre-requisite knowledge one needs before they can actually start learning the DAW of their choice. From my experience of 5 years I can share these small but important bits of information with people just starting to learn music production. Data management is an important part and besides using the DAW and it's stock plugins there are many external sound libraries and plugins that the best producers in the world have been using, this constantly keeps updating and it's only with years of exploration and continuous learning I have this knowledge now which can be passed on to the students.

There are students inclined towards audio engineering which is the technical side of sound and many are artists aiming to produce quality music or say work on the creative side, it's necessary to have a solid foundation on both sides as they are equally important in the music making process, but an early guidance on where to focus depending on one's aptitude and interest, to accomplish their main objective helps a lot in the long run. Besides teaching I also understand what every individual student expects, I consider communication to be a very important part of music education as there are a lot of things that go beyond logic and each individual has their own unique experience. In a way my students reflect me and I want to see them grow as artists and producers.

Besides this I can be a personal mentor for anyone willing to put in extra efforts towards learning music, I can provide them with regular feedback about their progress and any other help that they might need. Learning music needs a lot of determination and regular motivation, having someone willing to help you pave your way through these phases does make the journey smoother. Like most things in life one gets what they put in. It is down to the students to implicate the teachings that they learn in my lessons. They need to be truly dedicated to this only then the guidance would help.
