ABOUT ME
Geoinformatics engineer with 3+ years of experience working in the field of GIS and that includes expert knowledge of major commercial GIS software packages (ArcGIS, SQL Server) and Open Source GIS tools (QGIS, PostgreSQL, Geoserver, TileStache), Cartographic and Interactive Maps. I have great expertise in spatial databases (PostgreSQL and PostGIS). I am volunteer member of URISA GISCorps since August 2015 and provided my services in different humanitarian project (Geotag-X Yeman, Patricia Hurrican, Afghanistan Earthquake etc.) Some of the works I've done: - Vector Maps using Opensource technologies (Tilestache, Tangram and Postgis) - Raster Maps using Tilemill, mapnik, tilestache and postgis - Designed and implemented, database schema for large Geospatial data - Database administration and programming (Backups & Recovery, PITR, Replication etc.) - Georeferencing and classification of imagery - Data capture of any kind from various sources (web maps, satellite imagery, stereo images etc.) - GIS Data QA/QC (manual & automated) - Plugin Development in QGIS (python) - Importing vector data (.gdb, .osm, .shp, .geojson etc) to PostGIS database Software Desktop GIS: - QGIS, - ArcGIS - AutoCAD - Erdas Imagine RDBMS: - SQL Server - PostgreSQL/PostGIS Web GIS: - GeoServer - MapServer Graphics: - Adobe Photoshop Other: Microsoft Excel/Word JOSM (OpenStreetMap editor) I have special interests towards using modern technologies. I always wanted to work on a big projects and the feeling of satisfaction when I see that many people are using products of my work is my greatest driving force.
