Viktor Laugo

Known for his canvases which he describes as “Deluxe Fantasy,” Vik looks at his works as arbitrary images sprouting out of a student’s trance in the midst of boring school lectures. Vik is a Fine Arts student who majored in Painting at the University of Santo Tomas, whose primary influences are album covers, skateboard graphics, horror and sci-fi movie posters.

Coming from the punk scene impacts his art to lean on such a counterculture ideology, without being completely desensitized with the prevailing culture. And while he finds inspiration from the nuances of his surroundings, his current works continuously evolve to be more imaginative and slightly sardonic – allowing both depth and daftness in the confines of the Outsider Art.
