If your projects scope is limited and well defined like need some minor fixes on website or need a blog done you can post your requirement as a fixed price job. However, hourly jobs are long duration jobs. Where work is defined as you progress. So, think of it as pay as you go. This is more suitable for the large scale jobs like creating a complex website with database or a mobile app.
