WordPress Developer for Social Site

We are looking to hire a Web Developer to improve their already existing website. Glimber is the only social media platform geared towards providing a safe, accessible, and welcoming online environment for people with disabilities and their families to connect with one another.

Launching as an application in 2017, Glisser quickly amassed thousands of users around the globe. A pivot to a mobile-responsive network has allowed Glisser to accommodate more people, while reducing maintenance costs.

You will:

• Work closely with a UX Designer to implement design changes to an existing website, with a focus on usability/functionality for people with disabilities
  
• Implement 2-Factor Authentication, any other security measures you recommend that will reduce the volume of spam/bots on the site
  
• Add mapping functionality using PHP, when users create a profile, recommend other users with similar interests
  
• Test/debug the site to ensure functionality

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 3 years web design/development experience specifically WordPress
  
• CSS, HTML5, JavaScript proficient
  
• Be creative and unafraid to make recommendations! Youre the professional and we share the same goal
  
• Ability to develop responsively across browsers/devices
  
• Ability to problem solve, self-motivated
  
• Well-organized, detail-oriented
  
• Great communication skills
  
• Experience with social media sites preferred
  
• Experience with accessibility as it relates to web development a HUGE plus
  
• Be enthusiastic about working on a project that could potentially help millions of people around the world lead happier lives.
