Need IN Person Help with my WOrd Press Blog

I have had a couple of blogs running for several years on Word Press.( ie FilmRap.net)
Recently I was apparently upgraded or new version of WP took over. The configuration is changed Now I cant figure out how to add media ( pictures ) or change the color of type.
For example one blog is a movie review and I use a picture of the title of the movie and change the color or the type according to my rating of the film. There probably is a simple explanation and a simple fix but I cant figure it out. Ideally if a consultant. lived in Los Angeles area ( specifically in Woodland Hills) they could come by or possibly someone could take over my screen and help me WHile this is the most important thing for me now I probably could use suggestions how to promote the blog or possibly monetize it although that is not my main goal.
