Custom Script Dynamic IP address update to DNS A Record (DDNS)

We have a internal server at our home. We have Google WiFi direct to our cable modem connection. The Comcast Internet (ISP) gives us a dynamic IP address.

We have setup that IP address on our godaddy dns A record so we have external access to our internal server.

We do not want to use anything that will
Cost us $$ monthly. We also want security on this.

We want to know if a script or this can be coded so that it updates the dynamic IP address when updated my our ISP to the godaddy DNs records automatically
And not have any downtime as if it happened during the day and we were not home

Please message me if this is possible and the cost.

We have Ubuntu Server 18.04 installed
We have webmin and virtualmin installed as well.

Not sure if setting up a VPN works either but the internal server at my house is what I need access to outside of the network by the web and internally.
