Data Transformation Analyst

The Data Transformation Analyst role is an intermediate-level position suitable for someone looking to break into the startup world and gain experience working with top tier data scientists and software engineers, creating data transformation models to provide the data used in our software. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and eager to learn and grow with the organization. Opportunities to code and build tools to assist with efficiency are available.

Duties and Responsibilities
Creating data transformation models to ETL PDFs, XML, JSON, Microsoft Word documents, and other text-based sources.
Writing Regular Expressions (RegEx) models to extract elements based on text.
Facilitating data transfer and automation.

Core Competency Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of Regular Expressions (.NET preferred).
Understanding of hypertext tags and syntax used in HTML, XML.
Knowledge of JSON data structure.
Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server data structures and column properties such as IDENTITY and PRIMARY KEY.
Able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
Detail-oriented personality.
Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholder.
Internally motivated.
Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.

Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
College or University degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Statistics or a related discipline.

Desired Skills:
RegEx experience.
Understanding of text encoding formats and differences (Windows 1252, UTF-8, etc.)
Microsoft SQL Server.
Python, R, Julia.
