WordPress Developer - Build Out Themes from Mockups with All Content

Hi there -

We are an established marketing agency looking for an addition to our Wordpress website building team. At any given time, we have 3-4 website projects going on and more are being added every day. Our current web team is at capacity and we need to add more hands. Right now, were really looking for someone who can work with Elementor and make a live Wordpress site quickly from Mockups. Also, you must be good at adding content. Most of our sites have 30-40 pages of content that you need to load, format and review for accuracy and look/feel.

We build 99% of our sites in Wordpress and, as such, you need to be an expert at Wordpress. This doesnt mean that youve customized a premium theme for someone. This means that you know how to dive in, modify theme files, plugins and anything else that needs adjusting. You must also be able to customize plugins, with code and work with GitHub.

When building a new site, we typically start with Elementor but then customize a ton. Were always balancing clean, efficient code with the need to add plugins. Plugins slow a site down but can also solve a tricky problem very quickly.

At a bare minimum, you should be able to do the following:
- Setup a wordpress site from scratch with a strong knowledge of the backend tools like cPanel and phpMyAdmin.
- Work with the following plugins: ACF, BackupBuddy, Uber/Mega Menu, iThemes Security Pro, WP All Import
- Convert a PSD file into a functional wordpress site with attention to the UI/UX components of website design.
- Troubleshoot strange issues within Wordpress that could have any number of root causes.
- Work well with others including the design team and project managers.
- Be able to add many pages of content with limited oversight.
- Speak HTML, CSS and PHP
- Know how to use GitHub
- Work largely unsupervised and still adhere to deadlines.

In addition to building sites from scratch, there is a lot of general maintenance to do. You need to be a great diagnostician - able to quickly identify issues and fix them.

The absolute most important thing to our team is that you be dependable. If youre dependable, youll have a lot of steady work for many years. If youre not, you wont be working for us for long. What does dependable mean to us? It means:
- Youll set realistic deadlines and meet them
- Youll communicate regularly with any news, both good and bad.
- Youll be accessible when you say you will - by chat.

This is NOT an entry level job. You absolutely must have tons of Wordpress experience to even be considered. We do occasionally post more entry level positions, but this is not one of them.

Please reply back to this with your SPECIFIC wordpress experience and a few example sites that youve worked on. Tell me how long youve been working with Wordpress and why youre right for the job.

You 100% must be in North or South America - no exceptions. The key for me is that youre able to work 10a - 6pm in the Pacific time zone.
