5. Understands the Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network
6. Importing data into Amazon RDS PostgreSQL
7. Working with DDLs and complex queries
8. Python scripting/troubleshooting is a must
9. Setting up parameter groups and features
10. Performing common DBA tasks for PostgreSQL
11. Connecting to your PostgreSQL DB instance
12. Backing up and restoring your DB instance
13. Monitoring the activity and performance of your DB instance
14. Upgrading the PostgreSQL database version
15. Working with log files
16. Knows the best practices for PostgreSQL DB instances
17. Experience in DB Migration projects.
18. Good knowledge in PostgreSQL database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
19. Strong understanding of command line and fault-tolerant messaging system
20. Knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Perl). Technical certifications a plus.
