Im having fun with AWS and need some help.

I have a couple of EC2 instances and a domain name. I want to map my domain name to one (ui instance), a subdomain of it to the second instance (api instance) and then to be able to call the api instance from the ui instance without getting cors errors.

Id also like to remove cloud front and replace it with a load balancer (because cloudfront is great until you start deploying code).
My front end is an asp.net web site and my backend is a c# api and a mysql db.

My software is working fine - its really just the infrastructure which is proving problematic right now.
