Frontend Developer needed for creating new Frontend for existing webapplication

I am a developer myself (mostly java backend) and created a webapplication over the last years. It is basically complete and online for a few months now but due to my limited talent for design and modern frontend development it still feels quite outdated as I programmed the frontend myself too.

So I would like to find a professional who can implement a new frontend for my webapplication (it should also be optimized for mobile). Im not sure yet if doing a modern SPA will be necessary but Im open to it.
Right now all pages are rendered on the server (Java objects mixed into html with freemarker - I use Spring Boot) but I would probably work with you together on this and create a json REST interface that you can work with.
I welcome recommendations on what you think my webapplication would profit from most and what technologies you think are best suited to realize this.
One really important aspect for me is that all pages must load and render quickly. I think its important for the UI/UX that the user do not has to wait seconds to see a new page.

I can send you a link to the existing webapp if you want to get a better impression of whats to do.
I already got some new designs from designers that you can take as a guidance of how the new frontend could look.

So important for me is that the work gets completely finished and in the end Ill have a modern good looking frontend that feels fast and is fun to use.

Also Id like you to give a realistic estimation how much time that would take you.
