Setting up basic Prestashop

I need to configure my Prestashop basics. I bought a theme already and I just need the following:
- get rid of some useless image slides
- create a slider with 6-12 products (the only ones the shop will have)
- adjust the header and footer to show nicely and cleanly
- optimise for SEO and a bit of performance (if not yet done)
