AWS VMs migration to VMware 6.5

We have a Windows and linux box in AWS which we need to migrate to a VMware 6.5x VM.
We will have to re-IP the boxes and ensure things are functioning after their moved.
Ive tried using VMware converter on the Windows box to our VMware server over a VPN link, but it fails to boot and am sure im missing a small step some where.
The linux box, i havent tried migrating at all.
I need a flate rate proposal for getting this job completed. I dont expect you to sit idle/billiable the 8hrs its takes to transmit it over the internet.
