The Role:

Publicity for Good is looking for our next Publicity Assistant in our Ohio Office or Virtual. You are a strong team player and eager to continue growing your career. Your experience with PR tactics, media relations, and client services has prepared you for the fast-paced PR industry. You are a reliable and forward thinker all whilst devouring every travel, food and hospitality publication you can get your hands on.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Research and report on trends and articles relating to public relations and social media and the industries we serve, including Food & Beverage.

- Able to format, develop, write and successfully draft pitch press materials including bios, backgrounders, fact sheets, media advisories, and press releases Gather information needed for round-up pitches or targeting outreach to media, HARO queries, and incoming leads
Write media prep-materials/fact sheets

- Research publications, gather editorial calendars and create/maintain targeted media lists
Client event coordination

- Responsible for media tracking and client reporting including media clips, publicity alerts, digital alerts, and monthly reports including calculating PR values

- Knowledge on monthly reporting & tracking placements

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years prior PR experience is required, PR agency is preferred
A bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications. Marketing and/or Business is expected
Previous PR or Social internship experience is required

Requirements:

Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
